Agartala, Nov 19: In a significant move, Pradesh Trinamool Congress has decided not to contest the ensuing civic elections scheduled to be held on December 11.Speaking exclusively to the Tripura Times over telephone this evening, Pradesh TMC Chief Prof. Manik Deb told that Pradesh Trinamool has given up its plan to contest the election to ensure a decisive electoral battle. He asserted that TMC has taken this decision accepting the people opinion. People of the state are yearning to be witnessed a change in the political spectrum.
The catalyst people are waiting for a chance to uproot the ruling CPM during this fray, he claimed adding that TMC has been mounting enough to put an exigent fight against CPM. Only Pradesh Trinamool Congress owing allegiance to pro changing people accepted the public opinion, pointed out the Chief. Taking a serious note on the announced aspirants list of Congress for the December 11 poll, Prof. Deb said that it was unexpected. Pradesh Trinamool had talked to the PCC Chief Surajit Datta for pre electoral alliance.
