Robber arrested

SHILLONG: Police on Wednesday morning arrested a member of a gang of robbers which has been active in the city for some time now. According to the police, the modus operandi of the gang was very simple. “First some of the gang members would throw some brown substance on the body of their would-be victim. Then other members of the gang would come forward offering help and rob the victims when they were busy in cleaning themselves,”
police said. The gang suspected to be from outside the State, is active in Police Bazar. Meanwhile, DSP (City) Herbert Lyngdoh informed that police were on the look out for other members of the gang.
