Ph.D degree
Itanagar, July 23: Bomchak Riba has been qualified for the Ph. D Degree in the topic, “Relevance of Indigenous Knowledge System of the Galo of Arunachal Pradesh in Sustainable Development of Forest Resources” under the supervision of Dr. Tomo Riba, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Department of Geography, Rajiv Gandhi University.
He is son of Nyabom Riba and Late Retu Riba of Dari village, West Siang District and is the first Galo to be obtained Ph. D Degree in Indigenous Knowledge System (IKS). His degree will be conferred at the next Convocation of University.
