Agartala, Nov 17: Smoking is responsible for the fatal Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease which has secured one of the positions among other lethal disease found in the world. To create awareness among the citizens about this lung disease, every lung expert observed November 17 as World COPD Day as said by a lung expert in a press conference in Agartala Press club.
After a survey it has been proved that about 20% death is caused due to this deadly disease and marked this year as World Lung Awareness year according to the experts. The main victim of this disease is the poor people, ignorant of the basic knowledge of any disease. No medicine has been discovered till now to cure this disease, but it can be prevented if it is diagnosed earlier.
