JYF to move CM for DC’s removal

SHILLONG: The Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Thursday to demand the immediate removal of Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Tining Dkhar.
“We are forced to make this demand before the Chief Minister as the present Deputy Commissioner has not been able to foster a healthy relationship with the general public,” JYF president DL Rymbai told reporters here on Wednesday, while adding that Dkhar has failed in his duties to bring about any development in the district. The Federation is also likely to take up the issue of the deplorable road condition in Jaintia Hills with the Chief Minister.
