JYF memo to CM, seeks DC’s removal

SHILLONG: The Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma demanding removal of Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Tining Dkhar for “failing” to deliver his duties as a district head.
In their representation, JYF general secretary OL Tariang said the Federation had on several occasions approached Dkhar on “problems concerning the people” but to no avail.
“As the head of the district, Dkhar lacks the willingness to shoulder responsibilities of the various issues and problems,” Tariang said.
The crime rate has also incresad after Dkhar took over as Deputy Commissioner, the JYF alleged.
