IXth Inter-College Youth Festival ends
Rono Hills, Nov 19: The four-day IXth Inter-College Youth Festival which saw participation by eighteen colleges from different part of the states including RGU concluded at Rono Hills this evening. Rajiv Gandhi University emerged as the Champions in the four day event.
Various cultural, literary, sports and games events witnessed the talents of the participants, who came from far flung areas to represent their respective colleges. “We are lucky as we got a chance for being the part of such a festival which provided us with an opportunity to learn many things besides our regular academic curriculum,” one of the participants said.
The main attraction of the festival was the “Fashion Show” held on the third night. Altogether 32 candidates from various participating colleges competed for Mr and Miss Cadence, Karngam Loyi of North East Homeopathic Medical College and Holem Khangham of Indira Gandhi Govt. College were crowned as Miss and Mr Cadence.
Valedictory function witnessed giving away of prizes of different events held during the festival which was attended by members of the university and invitees.
