Dr Kalam to visit Arunachal
ITANAGAR, July 31: Former President of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam is arriving at the state capital on a two day visit to the state on Aug 3 next.
On Aug 4, Dr Abdul Kalam would attend the second convocation of NERIST as Chief Guest.
The first convocation of the Institute was attended by President Pratibha Patil last year.
Director NERIST Dr Joram Begi said that final touches for the programe are being done.
Some 300 student would receive their degrees while Diplomas and base module will be admitted in absentia.
Meanwhile, the former president who is well known as the People’s president would meet school children from various schools of the state at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhawan, Itanagar at 5.00 PM on Aug 3 next.
Apart from 200 school children with their teacher and escorts, the Governor Gen J.J Singh, First Lady Anupama Singh and others would attend the program. NE TV will broadcast the programe live.
