SHILLONG: The chief secretaries of both Meghalaya and Assam along with other senior state officials met on Monday to discuss issues concerning the Assam-Meghalaya joint cadre of the Indian Civil Services.
A senior State Government official informed that, among others, the meeting mainly focused on issues relating to promotion of civil servants.
However, the two chief secretaries refrained from discussing the Chief Secretary-level talks on the boundary issue between the two neighbours.
State Chief Secretary WMS Pariat is likely to fix a date for the Chief Secretary-level meet very soon, the official said.
